Hovedinnhold

Currently, climate change represents one of the most serious threats facing the human race. The building sector accounts for more than 40% of green house gas (GHG) emissions and, therefore, is one of the key contributors. With this in mind the new building for Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (Høgskulen på Vestlandet - HVL) at Kronstad, Bergen is going to be “Zero Emission Building (ZEB)”. This building is going to produce as much energy as it consumes over the year and sets an example for the building sector to follow. However, reaching such an ambitious goal has not been an easy task. A multidimensional architectural design coupled with a focus on the engineering of state-of-the art technological solutions lies at the heart of this achievement.

To learn more about this technologically advanced building come to this lunchtime seminar and hear Usman Dar, Sweco, speak.

Doors open 12:00noon, (talk starts 12:15 – 12:45 and questions to follow)

Fyrrommet (access through the main Library)

The seminar is free and open to all interested parties, so bring your lunch and join us for an interesting presentation followed by a Q&A session.
