Individualized treatment of endometrial cancer

Camilla Krakstad's research project involves extensive mapping of changes in tumors, and also involves Norwegian Citizen Panel as part of user involvement in all aspects of research.

Hovedinnhold

Camilla Krakstad, Professor at Department of Clinical Science, University of Bergen, received funding for her project from The Norwegian Cancer Society. Krakstad’s project involves extensive mapping of changes in both primary and metastatic tumors. New identified targets for treatment in the metastatic tumors will be investigated in advanced disease models where the effect of new drugs is tested.

Also, the project uses the Norwegian Citizen Panel as part of user involvement in all aspects of research. They will build a long-term user-panel including participants from several user groups (patients, patients next of kin, medical doctors, researchers and decision makers). The project also plans to perform a survey regarding research of interest in relation to gynecologic oncology and serve as an addendum to input from the user-panel when designing new research projects as well as strategies for dissemination of results.
