Visiting PhD student from Armenia

Ani Saghatelyan is a visiting PhD student in our group. Ani’s thesis is dedicated to investigation of biotechnological potential of Thermus scotoductus K1 strain, previously isolated by her from Karvachar geothermal spring in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia. The objective of her visit is purification and characterization of DNA polymerase I enzyme from K1 strain. Her visit is funded by Eurasia program.
