Educational Background

I have completed my Master of Research (MRes) in Computing from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and my Master of Engineering in Information and Communication from Chosun University, Korea. Throughout my MRes and ME degree, I have worked on Alzheimer´s disease analysis using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Machine learning algorithms.

Affiliation

I am a PhD student in the Department of Biomedicine at University of Bergen. I am also a member of Mohn Medical Imaging and Visualization Centre, Bergen.

Project short description

My work is related to Computational Magnetic Resonance imaging(MRI) and machine learning applied to neurodegeneration, brain tumor, and the irritable bowel syndrome. The project will address computational neuroimaging and machine learning methods applied to three different use cases:
(1) aging and neurodegeneration;
(2) imaging biomarkers for brain tumors; and
(3) analysis of imaging-based brain signatures related to the irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the brain-gut axis.
