SDG CONFERENCE BERGEN 2022

Call for digital videoposters SDG 2022

The SDG Conference Bergen will take place 9-11 February 2022 with the theme Ways of knowing, modes of living. We hereby invite PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows to submit proposals for scientific videoposters to be presented at the conference. Deadline: 1 February 2022.

Hovedinnhold

The fully digital SDG Conference Bergen 2022 provides new opportunities to present emerging and important research by motivated PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows addressing the conference themes and the 2030 Agenda. We therefore invite interested parties to present digital videoposters on your research and how it relates to the broad theme of the upcoming conference.

Digital poster details

  • Each PhD candidate or postdoctoral fellow may submit a (maximum) two-minute videorecorded poster (in English) by 1 February 2022.
  • The videorecorded poster could be you presenting orally into the camera your research, showing a presentation or other form of digital content using a combination of presentation techniques. This videorecorded poster should be of fairly high digital quality but may very well be recorded with your smart phone.
  • For tips on how to record your poster, please watch this video.

How to upload your digital poster

  1. The videorecorded poster is to be uploaded to vimeo.com – username: joa@apriil.no and password: 100%posters
  2. Give your video a name including your full name and the title of the poster.
  3. Send a notification e-mail to Kristina Øyen once you have uploaded your video.
  4. By 4 February 2021 you will receive notification about whether your poster is accepted. If accepted, your videoposter will be showcased in the conference platform and available for all participants to view. For technical questions regarding uploading the recording, please contact Kristina Øyen.

This is a great opportunity to share your research with a global audience and we hope to see your presentation at the conference!

PS! Extra advice for your recording session

  • Please try to find a plain and tidy background, like a white or grey wall.
  • Be conscious of your lighting.
  • Find a quiet space.
  • Look directly into the camera while recording (meaning: do not look at yourself on the screen if you are using your phone to record).
  • Use your smartphone to record yourself presenting. The video and audio quality are of your phone is usually a lot higher than what you would achieve from your laptop.
  • The camera should be in landscape-mode, and the view should cover your head and shoulders.
