The conference titled “Late Antique Magic Handbooks: Contents, Scribal Characteristics, and Contacts” will take place on Monday, July 3, at the Norwegian Institute at Athens. The conference is organized by Professor Christopher Faraone (Professor in the Department of Classics, University of Chicago), Professor Sofia Torallas Tovar (Professor of Classics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, University of Chicago), and Professor Anastasia Maravela (Professor of Classics, Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art, and Ideas, University of Oslo).
With financial support from The Neubauer Collegium, University of Chicago and the Nansenfondet/Michael Width Endresens fond for Sunnmøre næringsliv.
