Overview programme SMW-24
This is the preliminary programme of UiB staff mobility week 2024. This year we offer four thematic groups. Approximately half of the time you will spend in the group you applied for, and the other half + the voluntary programme is done together with all participants.

10:30 Opening of the Staff Mobility Week 2024
10:40 Welcome speach by professor Benedicte Carlsen, Vice-rector for Research and International Relations, University of Bergen
11:00 Popular science lecture: Professor Erik Bjerck Hagen: "Jon Fosse and The nobel Prize in Literature"
12:00 Guided tours of UiB city campus
13:00 Break
16:00 "Sharing-dinner" at Christies gate 18 (finish around 20:00)

12:00 Light meal (Norwegian lunch)
13:00 Group activity
Voluntary:
18:00 Guided tour of Bryggen Meeting point in front of St.Mary Church - Dreggsallmenningen 15 (Finish around 20:00)
Wednesday 19. June (All day excursion to Hardanger)
08:50 Meet at the bus station - bus leaves at 09:00
09:45 Ferry from Hatvik to Venjaneset (12.min)
10:50 Bus arrives at Strandebarm, the house of the Fosse foundation
12:15 Meet at Strandebarm quay - for a trip with the litrature boat "Epos" and lunch on the fjord
14:00 Arrival Norheimund - walk to the Hardanger Maritime Centre
14:15 Guided tour of the maritime centre.
16:30 Snack and bus leave from outside the centre.
16:40 Visit to the waterfall at Steinsdalen
17:15 Bus leaves the waterfall
18:30 Back in Bergen

12:00 CHARM Lunch (UiB CHARM invites all SMW-24 for lunch)
