Asian – Norwegian partnerships at a crossroads

Ishtiaq Jamil with the Department of administration and organization theory, is coordinating some of the projects financed by SIU; Governance Matters: Assessing, Diagnosing, and Addressing Challenges of Governance in Nepal and the Master in Public Policy and Governance Program(MPPG). Jamil expresses to SIU that the major gain is capacity building and development of partnerships in the South, with an international network of researchers in India, China and Thailand. But no collaboration is free from challenges. Institutional building is a slow process. It needs continuous interactions, trust and openness between partners
