EuroVis 2011 in Bergen

The visualization group is entrusted to organize Europe's biggest and most important visualization conference, EuroVis 2011, May 31–June 3, in Bergen next year.

Hovedinnhold

EuroVis 2011 is the 13th annual Visualization Symposium jointly organized by the Eurographics Working Group on Data Visualization and the IEEE Visualization and Graphics Technical Committee.

Visualization has become an increasingly important research area due to its wide range of applications in many disciplines. EuroVis is a Eurographics and IEEE co-supported international visualization symposium held in Europe annually since 1999. The objective is to foster greater exchange between visualization researchers and practitioners, and to draw more researchers in Europe to enter this rapidly growing area of research. EuroVis has an expanded scope to include all areas of visualization, and a steadily more wide-spread visibility that allows to achieve a more wide-spread impact.

The visualization group at the Department of Informatics, UiB, is excited about the big honor to organize this prestigeous event in Bergen next year.  We have started to organize the conference and are also preparing the event's public relations including flyers, posters, web pages, etc.
