To Bergen

By train

Bergen is connected to Oslo by train. The night train arrives at around 7am, then take local bus or express boat to Os/Solstrand. See train schedule for more information.

By air

Bergen Airport (Flesland) is served by several operators. The most relevant arrivals in order to get to the meeting by noon are listed below, but times may be subject to change.

Airport transfer

We will set up a transfer bus from the airport to Solstrand and back, so please give your arrival and departure times as soon as you know.

Car rental is possible at the airport, as well as taxi.

Connections Solstrand-Bergen

By local bus:
Take bus #620/630 to Osøyro from Bergen bus station. Buses to Osøyro run every 20 minutes (weekdays). Estimated bus ride is 50 minutes. When arriving to Osøyro take a taxi to the hotel (5 min.) The taxi station is located next to the bus stop. Bus schedule.

By expressboat (few departures):
Daily departures from Bergen – Bergen Airport - Os (Solstrand Hotel) - Rosendal. The boat departs from Strandkaiterminalen in Bergen. See time schedule.

The west coast in January can offer anything from cold, wintery conditions with snow, to cold, rainy weather. We suggest you bring warm clothing and good shoes/rainwear if you want to exploit outdoor possibilities.

All meals will be provided. Special dietary requests must be reported to us in advance. Accomodation is in single (3700NOK) or double (3200 NOK) room. Prices include stay, conference, all food including coffee breaks and use of the wellness centre with saunas and swimming pool. SPA services at extra cost, this should be arranged with the hotel directly.
