New publication: Development of the Posture domain in the Global Body Examination (GBE)

Kvåle A, Bunkan BH, Opjordsmoen S, Ljunggren AE, Friis S.

Posture has been part of the physiotherapy examination for decades because sustained poor posture may maintain and perpetuate musculoskeletal problems. This study shows how several postural items from the Global Body Examination (GPE-52) and the Comprehensive Body Examination are integrated into a new scale called GBE. The postural items in the new scale have good clinimetric properties and discriminate very well between healthy persons and different patient groups, as well as showing that pain patients had better posture compared to patients with psychoses.
