Hovedinnhold
In September 2012 communications adviser Marion Solheim at the Centre for International Health (UiB) travelled with her colleagues to Muhimbili University of Health and Applied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania.
A collaboration between UiB and MUHAS
The trip was the last stage in the project Master Programme in Health Policy and Management, which began in 2007 and which was funded through Norad’s NOMA programme (Norad’s Programme for Master Studies). The project was designed to build medical capacity in Tanzania, and thereby improve access to and the quality of health services for the poor.
Making a film to mark the occasion
Solheim travelled to MUHAS to document the results of the project, producing both a news article and a short film which give insight into the crucial importance of such capacity building for the individual patients who can now receive treatment.
The film was edited in collaboration with Frode Ims at UiB’s Division of Communication, and can be viewed by clicking on the window at the top of this page (some of the interviews are in English).
