Jeg er ansatt i EPISTAT - område for epidemiologi og statistikk - ved Institutt for global helse og samfunnsmedisin (IGS), og forskningen min innen disse feltene dreier seg om analyser av foreldre-barn-trioer eller -par med genetiske og epigenetiske data, og helseregisterdata. Jeg tilhører TRACE, senter for translasjonell epidemiologi, som har medlemmer fra EPISTAT og andre institutter og fakultet ved UiB.

Gjennom mitt arbeid med FairChoices, er jeg også med i Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting in Health (BCEPS), et senter for fremragende forskning under IGS. FairChoices er et verktøy som brukes til å skalere opp helsevesenet i land hvor befolkningen ikke har tilgang til nødvendig helsehjelp.
