Jeg er interressert i glasiale landskap, isdekker, og klima. Jeg bruke forkjellige metoder for å studier dynamikkene av fortids isdekker, og har spesialkompetanse i geokronologi og kartlegging av glasiale landformer, både i felt og ved bruk av GIS. Min glasialgeomorfologisk kartlegging av det britiske landskap (>60,000 landformer) ved bruk av høyoppløselige digitale høydedata ga ny innsikt i dynamikken til det britiske isdekket og karakteristikkene til drumliner. Jeg har utført feltarbeid i Grønland for å oppnå nye data om tidspunktet for tilbaketrekning av isstrømmer etter den siste istid. Her i Bergen, har jeg jobbet å samle en kronologisk database av de Eurasiske isdekkene (DATED).
