Sosiale prosesser i utvikling av helse og livsstil blant barn og unge. Evaluering av tiltak i skole og fritidsaktiviteter for å fremme livstilfredshet, god helse og atferd blant ungdoms skolebaserte tiltak, særlig knyttet til fysisk aktivitet og skoletrivsel. Benytter kvantitative og mixed methods tilnærminger, og arbeider med forskning ulike design, inkludert tverrsnitt, longitudinelle, kvasi-eksperimentelle og flernasjonale studier.

Leder for PhD-skolen "Graduate School for Human Interaction and Growth" (GHIG), emneansvarlig for PROPSY310 (Kultur, helse og utvikling) på profesjonsstudiet i psykologi, veiledning på hovedoppgaver, masteroppgaver og PhD-avhandlinger.
