Dr. Frode S. Berven (Ph.D.) er leder av Proteomics Unit ved Universitetet i Bergen og viseleder av Institutt for biomedisin.

Berven fullførte sin mastergrad ved Institutt for molekylærbiologi, UiB. Han har en Ph.D. i bioinformatikk fra Institutt for informatikk, UiB, og har vært postdoktorforsker ved Institutt for medisin, UiB, og på Proteomics Platform på Broad Institute of MIT og Harvard.

Han arbeider innen massespektrometribaserte kvantitative proteomikker med vekt på biomarkørfunn og verifikasjon i cerebrospinalvæske hos pasienter med multippel sklerose.
