Jeg forsker på landskaps- og miljø-endringer i tid og rom og hvordan slike endringer påvirkes av både naturlige og samfunnsmessige forhold. Menneskelig bruk av natur-ressurser spiller en sentral rolle og jeg er opptatt av hvordan tradisjonell bruk har formet kulturlandskapene våre, og hvordan endring i denne bruken samspiller med miljø- og klima-effekter.
