Hege received her Cand. scient. at the Institute of Microbiology at the University of Bergen in 2000. From 2001-2003 she worked at the Institute of Medical Microbiology at Rikshospitalet in Oslo. She has since 2003 worked at the MIC facility and achieved a high competence in confocal imaging. She is responsible of the daily running of the facility, training and supporting users, running courses as well as participating in scientific projects.
