Jeg er forkser i migrasjonsrett, og har nylig publisert om bruk av sårbarhetsbegrepet i flyktningrett, opphør av flyktningstatus, og midlertidig besyttelse. Jeg er leder av forskningsprosjektet 'Temporary Protection as a Durable Solution? The "return turn" in asylum policies in Europe (TemPro)', som analyserer hvordan midlertidhet i asylsystemet skapes av regelverket og hvordan det oppleves av flykninger i fire land: Norge, Storbritannia, Danmark og Tyskland. Jeg er redaktør sammen med Marry-Anne Karlsen av nettsiden Interdisciplinarity in Migration Research, og er vert sammen med Kari Anne Drangsland av podcasten Refugee Law and Refugee Lives.
