Jeg er lege, spesialist i psykiatri og PhD i epidemiologi fra 2014 ved UiB. Jeg jobber som førsteamanuensis i Eldremedisin tilknyttet Senter for Alders og Sykehjemsmedisin og overlege ved NKS Olaviken alderpsykiatriske sykehus. Fra 2019-2022 var jeg post-doc tilknyttet LIVE@Home.Path Innovating the clinical pathway for home-dwelling people with dementia and their families. A mixed-method randomized controlled trial - Prosjektbanken (forskningsradet.no), der vi ved hjelp av et trappetrinns randomisert design undersøkte om en multikompoent intervensjon kunne bedre ressursbruk og belastning for pårørende til hjemmeboende med demens. I dette prosjektet undersøkte jeg sammen med stipendiat Marie Hidle Gedde hvordan adferdsforstyrrelser ved demens ble endret under intervensjonen og under Covid-19 pandemien. 

Fra august 2020 leder jeg DARK.DEM studien Virtual darkness and digital phenotyping in specialized and municipal dementia care: The DARK.DEM randomized controlled trial. - Prosjektbanken (forskningsradet.no), der vi skal undersøke om blokkade av blått lys på kveld og natt kan dempe agitasjon og andre adferdsforstyrrelser ved demens. Vi vil også utvikle digitale biomarkører for agitasjon og andre adferdsforstyrrelser ved å korrelere data fra smartklokker med tradisjonelle psykometriske mål. 

Jeg er medlem av forskningsutvalget ved IGS, driver forskerskolen i samfunnsmedisin Forskerskole i samfunnsmedisinske fag | Institutt for global helse og samfunnsmedisin | UiB og leder Faglig Forum Alrek Helseklynge Faglig forum - Alrek (alrekhelseklynge.no)

Jeg er tilknyttet undervisningsgruppen til masterprogrammet i Helse og Samfunn Helse og samfunn, master, 2 år | Universitetet i Bergen (uib.no). Jeg underviser i aldring, sosial ulikhet i helse og metode, veileder masterstudenter og har emneansvar for Den akademiske prosessen: frå idé til presentasjon | Universitetet i Bergen (uib.no)
