Monica Naime forsker på staters internasjonale ansvar gjennom deres styresett og nettverk for offentlig tjenester, fra velferdstjenester og oljekonsesjoner til rettsforfølgelse.

Hun har en PhD i samfunnsvitenskap og mastergrad i internasjonalrett fra henholdsvis CIDE i Mexico, og Graduate Institute i Geneve.

Tidligere underviste hun i internasjonal rett, folkerett, miljørett og rettsøkonomi - for både jusstudenter og andre studenter.
