Valeria Markova earned her Cand. Psychol degree at the University of Bergen in 2012. While studying she has been on exchange to National University of Singapore (NUS) where she studied cultural diversity and had an internship in Saartjie Baartman Centre for women and children in Cape Town, South Africa. She has been a part of the research group Society and Workplace Diversity since 2010. She is currently working on a PhD project with research focus on cultural/ethnic differences in conceptualizations of mental health problems and their treatement.
