I have more than thirteen years of experience working in different fossil and active basins in Greece, the Red Sea and Argentina, analyzing the response of continental and marine sedimentary and volcanic environments to tectonic and volcanic controls. My research is strongly based on fieldwork studies where I combine traditional field techniques with digital acquisition methods (GIS/photogrammetry/LiDAR) that allow for quantitative analyses of the different sedimentary systems

My main research interests are:

Sedimentary evolution in tectonically active basins

Mixed carbonate-evaporite-siliciclastic environments in rift basins

Structural, volcanic and climatic controls over sedimentation

3D digital outcrop modelling (LiDAR and photogrammetry)
