IPY - SCIENCE PUB

MAIN OBJECTIVES: SciencePub (Arctic Natural Climate and Environmental Changes and Human Adaptation: From Science to Public awareness) is an IPY-NFR project that aims to:

• Advance our fundamental knowledge on natural climate and environmental change in the Arctic during the last ice-age (130 000 years) by improving system understanding and quantifying certain climate components
• Advance our understanding of human adaptation strategies to past rapid and large-scale changes in the physical environment following the decay of the last ice-sheet starting15 000 years ago
• Generate public outreach strategies that will leave a lasting legacy of increased public awareness of the natural environmental systems of Arctic
