What does it entail that a measure must have an effect on competition and trade? This lecture will unwrap the notion of effect on trade in detail, explaining how it can be applied in practice while unravelling some its inherent challenges.

About Militsa Kostova

Militsa Kostova graduated from the University of Oslo and is Senior Legal Officer at ESA’s State Aid Unit. Previously, Militsa worked with State aid in the State aid section in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. Militsa has experience with most areas of State aid law and she has worked with cases concerning tonnage tax scheme, TV2, IPCEI, sugar tax as well as complaints against Posten and Vy. She also holds an LLM in competition law and economy from Brussels School of Competition.
