The Role of Stratosphere-Troposphere Planetary Wave Coupling in Driving Variability of the North Atlantic Circulation
Short biography I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen and the Bjerknes Center for Climate Research. I recently received my PhD from Columbia University and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory under the supervision of Tiffany Shaw.
My research uses observations, idealized and state-of-the-art global climate models to understand the dynamics of the large-scale circulation and its role in climate. Specifically, I am interested in arctic climate variability and future change, stratosphere-troposphere coupling and atmospheric blocking.
