DCIS immune architecture

The group has demonstrated that a high level of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in DCIS is associated with worse prognosis (Schiza et al., Eur J Cancer, 2022). During this work, distinct TILs patterns were noted (Thurfjell et al., in preparation). Using imaging mass cytometry, the project aims to uncover cellular subtypes and signaling pathways within these distinct TILs patterns and how they are linked to clinical outcome and radiotherapy response.
