Project End March 2025

The CanCode project ended officially in March 2025. Several outcomes and initiatives are still in the pipeline and will appear in the coming months at the project website.

The next major planned outcome is a thematic issue in the journal Arabica edited by Eirik Hovden and Mahmood Kooria. All the articles are accepted and will appear autumn 2025. The articles are based on the workshop held in Leiden, 2023 called "Mukhtaṣar and matn: agency and change in the pivots of the Islamic legal schools". The issue is planned open access.
