In her thesis she is dealing with Nile perch (Lates niloticus) species. Nile perch fishery contributes significantly to the economy of Tanzania. Presently there is great concern that the stock of Nile perch is declining. The decline has been linked with high fishing pressure. So in this study she will try find if fishing effort plays a significant role on the abundance of Nile perch.
