Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year

2015 has been an important year for global health. While the Millennium Development Goals era is coming to an end and impressive progress has been made toward several of the goals, many challenges persist, and new ones may arise. This year the world agreed on a new set of goals. Hopefully, the International Conference on Financing for Development, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the UN Climate Change Conference can be important guiding documents to stimulate further action.

We are pleased to see that our work on global health, ethics and priority setting has been featured consistently in academic conferences and journals, and we've appreciated the opportunities to be involved in important policy discussions on priority setting – both globally and in Norway.

Through our research, we aim to explore and deepen understanding of the ethical, economic, and political considerations for addressing global health priorities, and we look forward to continuing the discussion.

This new quarterly newsletter is part of our strategy to communicate and promote our work through channels beyond the traditional academic ones, and to keep our national and international partners up to date. Please feel free to forward this to colleagues and others that you think might be interested.

Season's Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year,

Ole Frithjof Norheim
