Easy accesible hikes:
The old postal road. Take a bus from the bus station, or Bryggen to IKEA. Behind IKEA, walk along the road leading to the farm houses at the end of the big lake (Langevatnet). From there starts the old postal route (gravel road) a few kilometers over the top to the next side. Along the way you will find a sign and the track for "Veten" the highest mountain on your left side.
Stoltzekleiven. It starts from Fjellveien (in Sandviken). Take a bus to Sandviken ( from Bryggen), get off at stop Munkeboten, walk up to Amalie Skrams vei, turn left and follow this road approx 150 meters and you are at the start of Fjellveien. Follow Fjellveien a few hundred meter and you will get to the starting point of Stoltzekleiven (it has a sign, and there are probably people there getting ready to run up). It is a hard route (some do it in 10 minutes, other spend an hour) - so take a break when you need - and try to let those in a bigger hurry get pass you). Dont walk Stoltzekleiven down, when on top continue to walk up a little longer, and you will find a gravel road going down to your left, or continuien towards Fløien (to your right).
And StudyBergen writes about Stoltzekleiven and several other possibilities for outdoor-activities near or in the city.
