2017 - Elisabeth Wik

Born 1971, M.D. from UiB, earned her PhD (2013) with focus on biomarkers in endometrial cancer with emphasis on gene expression microarray analyses. She was a postdoc in the Akslen group until 2017, where her postdoc research focus was on biomarkers in breast cancer subtypes, gene expression analyses, and exploring transcriptional alterations related to the tumor microenvironment.


Elisabeth Wik moved on in the same group as associate professor, and now heads the group Breast Cancer of the Young - Bergen (BCY-B), established in 2019, and is also leader of the CCBIO Research School for Cancer Studies.
