Basic Course in Flow Cytometry
(HUIMM307)
This Basic introduction to flow cytometry course will enable students to understand applications for flow cytometry. In addition, the applications used during the practical part of the course will be introduced in seminars by the course leaders.
Theoretical part:
- The course leaders will give a theoretical introduction to flow cytometry and some of the most common applications.
Practical part: Hands-on training at one of the local flow cytometers (BD Accuri C6)
- Quantification of apoptotic cells
- Cell cycle analyses
- Simple staining of cells with surface markers
- Analysis of transfected cells
