The Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) is a “thinknet” of economists who collaborate through the Centre on a wide range of policy-related research projects and dissemination activities. CEPR’s network of Research Fellows and Affiliates includes around 1,600 of the top economists conducting research on issues affecting the European economy. These researchers are organized in ten Programme Areas; Marc has been appointed to the Macroeconomics and Growth (MG) and to the Economic History (EH) Programme Areas.

The aim of CEPR is to enhance the quality of economic policy-making within Europe and beyond. The Centre is particularly keen to identify and promote the work of young economists who need research support and an environment through which they can enter the international scene. CEPR therefore appoints promising young researchers as Research Affiliates for a fixed term of four years.

Head of Department Tommy S. Gabrielsen are proud and happy that Marc gets the opportunity to be a part of such a network of young economics. The Department is also very confident that this nomination will give Marc a big stimulus to his academic career, and that it also motivate other young researchers at Department of Economics.
