The project PRE-DECOR receives funding

We are delighted to announce that the project of Gunnar Eskeland and Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui "PRE-DECOR - Decommissioning Regulation and Contractual Implications part of Center for Recommissioning and Decommissioning Vestland" was approved by the Norwegian Research Council, and funding awarded. The grant amounting to NOK 320 000 comes from Regionale Forskningsfond Vestland.

One of the project’s pillars, Gunnar Eskeland, is a Professor of Resources and Environmental Economics at Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He brings many years of experience in investigating climate politics and energy sector both in academia and in public institutions (e.g. the World Bank) to the project.

Another project leader, Ignacio Herrera Anchustegui, is a Bergen-based Associate Professor of Energy Law and Competition. His most recent research activities revolve around offshore energies, community benefits (distributive justice) and application of green innovation in energy sector — all of which meet in the challenge to carry out decommissioning in Vestland.
