A wind power data set is born

Ida Marie Solbrekke and Asgeir Sorteberg at BOW have developed a wind power data set that is mapping the wind power potential at the Norwegian continental shelf and in the surrounding ocean areas.

Hovedinnhold

During the last year BOW (Ida Marie Solbrekke and Asgeir Sorteberg) has developed a climatological wind power data set called NORA3-WP (NORwegian hindcast Archive's Wind Power data set). The data set consists of 43 wind resource and wind power related variables.

NORA3-WP will be an open access wind power data set created to facilitate for decision makers, stakeholders, politicians, researchers and investors to attain relevant wind resource and wind power information in the planning phase of a new wind farm project.
