Tariffs, retail competition, and demand response
In this seminar we will discuss the need for local flexibility and demand response and how this can be accommodated in the electricity market, by changes in tariffs and local flexibility markets. Please note that this seminar takes place at NHH, but it is also possible to attend via Zoom.

The low-carbon society requires major changes in the energy system, including an increase in distributed generation from new renewable energy sources, such as wind and sun, as well as changes in electricity consumption, for instance due to electrification. New renewables are to a large extent more variable and less predictable than traditional energy sources, and this creates a demand for more flexibility by other players in the system, including consumers. Distribution networks are heavily affected by both changes in distributed generation and load patterns, and their ability to handle these changes efficiently is essential.
The seminar will take place at NHH, but it will also be possible to participate via Zoom. We will serve food, so all participants should register by October 31.
