International relations

The former Faculty of Dentistry had formalized agreements (Memorandum of Understanding) within research and research training with several international institutions that still applies for dental research in the Faculty of Medicine:

• University of Chiang Mai, Thailand 
• University of Carol Davila, Romania 
• Universitetet ”Gr.Popa”, Faculty of Stomatology, Department of Preventive Dentistry i Iasi, Romania 
• Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
• University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Dentistry, Omdurman, Sudan
• University of Addis Ababa, Etiopia  

The following bilateral agreements between The University of Bergen and the following institutions is being actively used by the department:

• Tribhuvan University, Nepal
• Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda
• University of Nairobi, Kenya
• Western Cape University, South Africa
• University of Khartoum, Sudan
