An experiment using large mesocoms tanks was conducted in the Arctic research station of Ny Ålesund, Svalbard in the summer of 2015. The experiment was part of the μPolar project led by scientists in the Marine Microbiology Group at UiB and UniResearch. The aim of the experiment was to study the interplay of microbial groups to better understand marine ecosystem dynamics.
