"We are incredibly proud of our students," says Kjetil Rommetveit, head of the master’s programme in Sustainability at UiB. "Their effort and creativity show that sustainability agents come from the University of Bergen."

The Sustainability Education Game 'Eyes of the future' is designed to challenge students to develop innovative solutions to global environmental issues. The game brought together students from across Europe to develop these solutions within their local communities, including Team 'Wet Zero', from UiB's master's programme in Sustainability.

For 2.5 hours, 'Wet Zero', raced through Bergen in pouring rain and tackled a variety of mini-challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that tested their creativity, quick thinking, and community engagement.

The tasks ranged from collecting and properly sorting litter to interviewing local business owners about their sustainable practices. Each completed task was documented with photos and linked to specific SDGs, which were then uploaded for other teams to review and vote on. The most popular tasks earned "Golden Flags."

"Team 'Wet Zero's efforts in envisioning a sustainable Bergen in 2040, secured them a spot at the Climate Symposium in Durham together with the other winning team ‘EnviroTeam’ from Romania. They embarked on a four-day train journey from Bergen to Durham, filled with study sessions and sustainable contemplation.
