Trade unions at UiB

Norwegian society views trade unions positively, recognizing their role in securing fair wages, good working conditions, and strong employee rights. Being a member of a trade union is very common and widely accepted. Read more about the largest unions at the university here.

Akademikerne

Federation of Norwegian Professional Associations

Akademikerne is the biggest trade union for people with higher education. Their 13 member associations have a total of almost 280,000 members.

Information and Consultation Committee (IDU)
