CCBIO's 7th Annual Symposium (2019)

We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 7th CCBIO Symposium, May 13th-14th 2019 at Solstrand Hotel. The 2018 symposium was a success with around 200 participants and we expect the 2019 symposium to be at least as good.

With so many participants in a very international mix, this is a great opportunity for international networking within the field of cancer research. The beautiful surroundings at the historical hotel Solstrand provide an ideal frame for the symposium with the serene fjord views, fresh air, great food and spacious areas, with a little touch of Norwegian history. 

The symposium will be a combination of talks by invited international speakers and other senior and junior researchers, extended poster sessions where younger researchers can present their work, and ample time for interaction between the participants. The selection of which participants that can present their posters is done on the basis of the submitted abstracts.

Volterra lecture

We'll end the symposium on a high note with a lecture by Omid Farokhzad. This keynote address is part of the distinguished Volterra lectures series organized by our partner Digital Life Norway (DLN). The Centre for Digital Life has chosen to honour the Italian mathematical biologist Vito Volterra with a continuous lecture series with high profile contributors within the field of digital biotechnology and life sciences.

Vito Volterra became professor of rational mathematics at the University of Pisa in the late 1800s, where he developed his theory of functionals, leading to contributions within integral and integro-differential equations.

If you wish to present a poster, please have the following information at hand before registration:

• Whether you will present alone or with one of the co-authors
• Size of the poster

Note that a one page poster abstract in Word format needs to be submitted to Eli.Vidhammer@uib.no within April 17th for inclusion in the poster book.

Satellite symposium May 12th

Also note a satellite symposium on the topic Deep Tissue Profiling which will take place the day before, May 12th, also at Solstrand. This will have a separate registration form.
