Roland S. Liblau

Professor Roland S. Liblau started his scientific career at the Department of Clinical Immunology, INSERM, Paris. 1993-99 member of the scientific staff at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Stanford University, USA; 1999-2003 at the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, INSERM, Paris; since 2004 professor at the Immunology Laboratory, Rangueil University Hospital, Toulouse, France.

Roland Liblau's main scientific interests are the study of CD8+-T, CD4+-T and NK-cells, cytokines and cytokine receptors and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF- α) in various autoimmune diseases, such as diabetes 1, Crohns disease and multiple sclerosis (MS), and in experimental autoimmune diseases. He also takes into consideration and discusses in his seminar the consequences for possible therapeutic intervention.
