Hovedinnhold

Maria and Evelynn are both master students from Uganda who are going to spend this semester at the Department of Clinical Dentistry. Their stay here is a part of a new international project that IKO has established together with 4 different partner countries in East Africa. Universities from Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania og Ethiopia are part of this international project aimed at developing new educational acitivities with a focus on global oral health. Student mobility between Norway and partner institutions is an important part of this project. Maria and Evelynn are among the first students who are joining this project.

During their first weeks of stay in Bergen Maria and Evelynn participated in a meeting with UiB leadership and minister of international development Dag Inge Ulstein. One of the topics discussed at the meeting were funding of student mobility and possibilities to introduce full-degree scholarships. More inforamtion about the meeting and funding of student mobility can be found at På Høyden article.

The new international project at IKO will last from 2019 to 2023 and is financed through NORPART-programme by DIKU (Direktoratet for internasjonalisering og kvalitetsutvikling i høgare utdanning).
