Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) 

Lecturer: Director associate professor PhD Camilla Normand.

Camilla Normand is a board specialist in internal medicine and works as director at Avdeling LIS Mottaksklinikken, Stavanger University Hospital. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians.

Camilla Normand is cand. med. From the University of Oxford, and defended her PhD in 2020 on Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT): Patient Selection and Guideline Adherence. In her thesis she focused on use of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in Europe in relation to guidelines and documented use. She was supervised by professor Kenneth Dickstein, and through him involved in an European network of researchers on heart failure. She has from 2020 been employed as associate professor at University of Stavanger and participate in an EU Horizon project on simulation in acute medical care. 

Camilla Normand has published 27papers on heart failure. Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is the most common type of heart failure in women, and still represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
