On 6 March, the following invited guests will provide insights into their practical experience of a cross-cultural, comparative research project on youth transition and social welfare:
- Akio Inui (Tokyo Metropolitan University),
- Christian Imdorf (University of Hannover),
- Birgit Reissig (German Youth Institute, Munich/Halle)
- Andy Biggart (Queen's University, Belfast)
- Jan Skrobanek (Dept. of Sociology, UiB)
They are all internationally acclaimed scholars who have made significant contributions to the sociology of youth in general, and to the specific areas of youth transitions and social welfare and will give a talk entitled 'Cross Country Comparison of Youth Transitions and Social Welfare: Insights from a Japanese–European Research Endeavour' based on their latest book Youth Transitions and Social Welfare
