Brussels is a very walkable city. The office is located only 15 minutes from the Central Station, only 10 minutes from the EU Commission and 5 minutes from the EU Parliament by foot. The city is also equipped with city bikes and rentable e-scooters that can be used for getting around. Taxies and Ubers are also available.

Getting to the office from the Central Station can also be done by metro, taking about 10 minutes. The closest metro stop to the office is Arts-Loi.

The public transportation system in Brussels is very well developed, all the buses, trains, trams and metros are integrated into the Google Maps app and it works very well. 

Brussels Airport to UiB Brussels office

Getting to the office from Brussels Airport can be done by train and by bus, taking about 40 minutes and 60 minutes respectively. The closest train station is Bruxelles-Schuman and the closest bus stop is Troon.

If a taxi is necessary, the airport has a taxi queue system and can be found when exiting the baggage reclaim hall, remember to ask if the driver accepts card payments.

Getting around Brussels

The public transportation system in Brussels is very well developed, all the buses, trains, trams and metros are integrated into Google Maps.

In Brussels, there are two notable taxi companies. Both these companies will take you around the city, as well as to and from the airport. When using these services it is always recommended to ask the driver if they accept card payments before riding.

Uber, a rideshare service operated through the Uber app, is a quite popular method of transportation in Brussels, it is usually simpler than taking a taxi. 
Last Mile transportation is also an option, it is easy to rent electric scooters and bikes to get around.
