Facilities available to UiB staff

The UiB Brussels Office is co-located at NOHRI (Norwegian House of Research and Innovation) with NTNU, SINTEF and NORCEs offices. Our facilities are available to UiB staff upon agreement with the UiB Brussels Office staff.

Main content

The Brussels Office has access to two office spots, available to all University of Bergen employees to use as a base when working from Brussels. These office spots include everything one would need to comfortably work for an extended period of time. To inquire about use of the office spaces, do not hesitate to reach out to Charlotte Eide, the Head of Office, or contact the student interns at the office with any questions.

The UiB Brussels Office also has two fully equipped meeting rooms available to any actor at the University of Bergen to use for meetings, seminars and events in Brussels. These two rooms, Fjord and Foss, can be combined into one large space for events that require extra room or be booked separately. To book these spaces, please reach out to Charlotte Eide, the Head of Office, or our student interns

Catering

Catering/lunch can be arranged in a large range of prices, going from sandwiches to very fancy walking dinners.

  • El Turco, Mediterranean restaurant that also delivers.
  • Kamilou, delivers a meal (quiche + 2 types of salad + dessert)
  • Les Frères Debekker, a bit more fancy lunch, (walking lunch with soups, buffet, etc) and they come with waiters/waitresses.
  • For catering/lunch, it is best to correspond with them through e-mail, write down what you need to avoid misunderstandings. It is also easier for them in case they don’t speak English that well. They accept credit card, some caterers demands that you pay before delivery.

Dinner. It is recommended to avoid the area of the Research Executive Agency at night. But you can go to the city centre which is not far.

For dinner as well as for lunch, it is best to correspond with them through e-mail, write down what you need to avoid misunderstandings. It is also easier for them in case they don’t speak English that well.
