UiB med beste norske lag
Under the Northwestern European Regional Programming Contest i Delft, 23-25.november, hadde UiB det beste norske laget.

Laget "Unified in Blood", bestående av Simen Lilleeng (masterstudent i informatikk, algoritmer), Marco Poletti (masterstudent programutvikling), og Tobias Urhaug (bachelorstudent matematikk), tok 24.plassen ut av 76 lag i konkurransen.
De to neste norske lagene kom på henholdvis 26.plass (UiO), og 28.plass (NTNU).
NWERC 2012 ble vunnet av lag fra Universität Rostock, Tyskland.

"NWERC 2012 is integrated in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest. It draws students from colleges and universities throughout Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The winning team will advance to the ACM Programming Contest World Finals to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2013, where it will compete with other student teams from other regional contests that have taken place on all continents."
