Gjennom en ny strategi for humaniora skal UiB løfte kvaliteten og styrke samfunnsrelevansen til de humanistiske fagene.
Universitet i Bergen kjennetegnes i likhet med andre klassiske, europeiske forskningsuniversiteter av et stort antall humanistiske fag.
En tydelig strategisk oppfølging av humaniora er viktig for at UiB samlet skal løfte seg som internasjonal forskningsinstitusjon.
